Hop on the 8-person gondola for a quick 18-minute ride to the alpine village of Pila. Here, you can immerse yourself in 70km of ski and freeride slopes, a fun park for children, and a snowpark, all amid the backdrop of the awe-inspiring Mont Blanc, Monte Rosa, and Switzerland's Matterhorn. Pila is blessed with excellent snowfall from December - April, and a patrol of snow cannons helps keep the slopes topped up when needed.
Off the slopes, you can explore Pila's snowshoe trails, visit Gran Paradiso National Park to spot local fauna such as ibex and eagles, or immerse yourself in Aosta's rich culture by visiting the city's museums and monuments, including the Arch of Augustus. As night descends, indulge your tastebuds with a delicious meal of alpine cheeses, locally cured meats, and Italy's finest aperitifs.
