Welcome to Selva di Val Gardena Ski Resort

If the Sellaronda circuit is on your bucket list, Italy’s Selva Val Gardena (aka Wolkenstein) is legit one of the best places to access the legendary 40km Dolomiti Superski circuit.
The UNESCO-listed peaks of the Dolomites soar into bluebird skies, and pristine pistes guide you through picturesque valleys. Don’t miss the ‘James Bond’ run for epic thrills, and race your mates down the World Cup Saslong piste.
Need a rest? Stop at one of many mountain restaurants to snack on cured Italian meats washed down with a bottle of chilled Austrian Stiegl - the best of both sides of the border!

Best time to ski in Selva di Val Gardena

Although natural snowfall can be a little sporadic here, Selva Val Gardena has an incredible network of snowmaking facilities to ensure that 95% of the pistes are blanketed in snow from December through to early April. Happy days!
When the sun shines, Sellronda can attract some crowds, and the weekends can be busy, so pick a day during the week for the best chance of fast-flowing ski runs.
If you book a trip in the run-up to Christmas, you’ll discover a magical winter wonderland complete with twinkling fairy lights, charming market stalls, and lots of festive treats - a glass of Glühwein, anyone?

Things to do in Selva di Val Gardena

Despite being in Italy, the culture in Selva Val Gardena is more akin to The Sound of Music than La Dolce Vita! As such, traditional Tyrolean cuisine is top of the menu. Indulge in delicious cheese dumplings and hearty goulash, followed by sweet and spicy apple strudel. Simply delicious!
After dinner, retreat to a cosy hotel for a relaxed après ski vibe. Or dance the night away at the lively Luiskeller cellar bar. Bring out the shotskis! There are plenty of non-ski activities too. Explore the natural beauty of the Dolomites on a snowshoe excursion. Or cheer on the local ice hockey team at the Pranives Stadium ice rink.
