Often ranked Norway’s top resort, Hemsedal is not one to miss this winter – especially if you’re partial to a lively après ski. Whiz across 44km of varied pistes with the help of a rapid lift system. New to the slopes? You’ll find a fantastic beginner area with some long winding greens and blues that will have you confidently cruising in no time. You can even access the resort’s highest point at Totten entirely on green terrain – a rare occurrence!
When it comes to picking your base, you’ve got two main options. Partial to an après and want easy access to the slopes? The ski-in-ski-out Alpin Village is for you. Or for something a bit more traditional, go for the town of Hemsedal Sentrum. A short bus journey away from the main slopes. And not forgetting the snowmobiling, dog sledding and 140km of groomed cross country slopes.
