Less than two hours from Oslo is the little resort of Norefjell (pronounced Nora-Fee-Yell).
Did you know this resort hosted the Winter Olympics back in 1952? Although the black pistes are some of Norway’s steepest, most of the terrain is better suited to beginners and improvers.
Kids will be in their element with the child-friendly slopes packed with small jumps, moguls and more – ideal for learning basic ski or snowboard skills.
Off the slopes, the focus is on relaxing in the spa and activities such as indoor climbing. Or why not do as the Norwegians do on a sunny day: stock up on snacks and hot blackcurrant toddy and go cross-country skiing.
