The sunny ski resort of Belalp boasts a vertical drop of over 1750m via 60km of South facing slopes, just beware of the goggle tan! Fancy a challenge? The entire vertical drop can be skied in one 14km run by linking several pistes. Talking of long runs, the 8km sled run offers adrenaline-seekers the chance to hurtle down the mountain while taking in the spectacular views of the Aletsch Glacier which is part of the UNESCO world natural heritage site.
For those who enjoy a more gentle cruise on the snow, Belalp offers plenty of rolling greens and cruisy blues with the added bonus of being uncrowded, ideal for perfecting your parallel turns and practising your carving technique. Off the mountain you’ll find a variety of restaurants offering typical mountain cuisine, as well as a range of great accommodation options within a classic Swiss Alps setting.
