The Ski Lungau lift pass gives you access to 150km of pistes connected by buses and lifts including the renowned Katschberg-Aineck area. The "Direttissima" black run is known to be one of the most difficult in the Alps but the less daring and younger skiers are still well-catered for with family areas and an abundance of cruisy blues and reds.
Away from the slopes there’s plenty of non-skiing options from horse-back rides, nordic walking and even paragliding for the more adventurous among us. Perhaps the most popular ‘non-skiing’ activity in most Austrian resorts is reclining with a Stein of local beer, and St. Michael im Lungau has no shortage of bar stools just waiting to be sat on, what’s not to love!
