What do you get if you combine traditional Austrian alpine charm with quiet relaxed slopes? None other than the gem that is the Werfenweng ski resort! With 29km of relaxed open slopes, forest-lined trails and a peak elevation of 1834 meters, those looking for an ‘easy-going’ trip will find it all on a Werfenweng ski holiday. While smaller than its bigger Austrian neighbours, that doesn't stop you from enjoying some of the best pistes available.
The morning lifts up give you free rein to ski from the “Rosnerkoepfl” lift to the large 8-person “Ikarus” gondola. From here, the mountain is yours to explore. The Werfenweng ski area provides for beginners learning the ropes or even intermediates wanting to take it easy for a ski holiday. But nowhere provides more appeal than the cruisy “Steinbergriedel” slope giving you 2160m of pure relaxed bliss. And before you go, make sure you enjoy lunch or some light apres at the ‘Bischlinghöhe’ mountain restaurant, with incredible vistas across the local Alpine range. Prost!
