If you’re travelling with the kids, family ski resorts don’t get much better than French-speaking Tremblant in Canada. Enjoy the convenience of skiing straight in and out of spacious apartments, and head into the charming town centre to discover a maze of cobblestone streets lined with colourful boutique shops and superb restaurants. Out on the mountain, a wide mix of well-groomed runs caters for everyone in your tribe, from mini rippers and skiing newbies to mile-munching intermediates and black run hot shots.

Best time to ski in Tremblant

Tremblant’s long ski season starts in November and runs through to April. Powderhounds should aim to visit during January and February for the best chance of fresh snow. And make sure you wrap up warm and make the most of numerous mountain huts servicing delicious chocolate chaud if you hit the slopes early-mid season as temperatures can plummet. Brrrr! Watch the pros blast down Mount Tremblant in the annual FIS Women’s Alpine World Cup (WC) event in December. And make the most of daily family entertainment on the slopes during the US and Canadian school breaks in February and March.

Things to do in Tremblant

Love food? Then you’ll love Tremblant! From steaming pots of gooey French fondue to stacks of waffles drizzled in Canadian maple syrup, you’ll have a varied selection of flavours to choose from both on and off the mountain. Bon appetite! For time away from the ski slopes, the Scandinave Spa is one of our fave places to relax. Soak weary muscles in outdoor hot tubs, warm the cockles in a woodland sauna and kick start your circulation with a swim in an ice-cold river. Or if you and the kids still have some energy to burn, take your pick from fat biking, ice skating, snow tubing and more.
