If you want an authentic mountain village that’s retained its proud Catalan roots, Les Angles might ‘peak’ your interest. Found in the Pyrenees Mountains of southern France, near the border with Spain, Les Angles offers 55km of varied pistes.
From tree-lined runs to challenging blacks to wide-open slopes, there’s something for every adventure. Wake up in the morning and hop on one of the free shuttles that run non-stop from 8:30am to 6pm. Beginners will love The Plan Del Mir, while intermediates will gravitate towards Le Plateau de Bigorre.
For more of a challenge, advanced skiers won’t want to miss the epic black freeride slopes at The Costa Verde. And if you want to take a break from the cold, you can always warm up by the fire in a cosy mountain lodge, sip on a hot chocolate, or indulge in some traditional Catalan cuisine. There’s also 36 km of trails for skiing and snowshoeing in the Nordic cross country ski zone.
