Welcome to Meribel Ski Resort

  • Access to the largest connected ski area in the world
  • Great for all abilities and families
  • Fun apres for groups
Meribel ski resort in France is for serious skiers and boarders who want access to the world’s largest playground of pistes with the classic charm of a French ski village.
The main appeal of Meribel skiing is the ace location – it sits plum in the middle of the epic Les Trois Vallées area, which boasts 600km of pistes and eight snowparks for all abilities across the resorts of Meribel, Courchevel, and Val Thorens. The slopes are high too, meaning there’s plenty of white stuff all season long.
But the big question is, which part of Meribel to visit – it is actually made up of five villages connected by shuttle buses and lifts. From Méribel Les Allues at 1,100m to Méribel Mottaret at 1,750m, there are suitable digs and apres fun for everyone – groups, families, couples – you name it, Meribel’s got it.

Best time to ski in Meribel

There’s always a festive buzz in Meribel ski resort in December, while in January the slopes are quieter and the snow is fresh. Meribel skiing is at its busiest in February, but that brings with it a fun party atmosphere, and with access to such a large ski area, overcrowding is never much of an issue.
March sees numbers drop off again, which can make it an attractive time to go. Towards April, as the season draws to an end, the snow quality may not be its best, but you can expect long days in the sun and loads of events and outdoor music away from the pistes.

Snow conditions in Meribel

If you just can’t wait to clip in and get the season started, the first dumps of snow can happen as early as November in Meribel ski resort. And if you don’t want the good times to end, you can even ski in April. The biggest snow flurries tend to be in December, making this a fantastic spot for festive fun. But if you want to top up the goggle tan and enjoy apres on sunny mountain terraces, January and February get the biggest share of bluebird days.
