Vars is the much quieter neighbour of the French resort of Risoul. Well maintained, Vars is the perfect place for families and mixed-ability groups looking for an affordable holiday that does not compromise on experience.
The pistes remain relatively quiet throughout the season with a great variety of wide, sunny slopes to steep descents through the treeline ideal for beginners and intermediates.
Non skiers can rejoice with a good variety of restaurants, bars, and shops to browse and kick-back in. The resort remains lively all day as skiers and snowboarders stop off for a break, and continues to be the centre of activity well after the lifts close, inviting you in for an evening of après under the stars.
