Best time to ski in Les Arcs

Being a purpose-built resort with modern lifts and excellent snow-making facilities, Les Arcs ski resort is one of those places that can handle the masses; even during peak periods, it doesn’t feel over-crowded. This makes it a good bet for pre-Christmas and January New Year trips as well as February half-term holidays.

Snow conditions in Les Arcs

With pistes reaching as high as 3,000m, snow reliability in Les Arcs is as good as it gets in the Alps. For peachy powder, the snow typically dumps more in December and January, but if you’re looking for sunny bluebird days, February is the time to go. Thinking about a Les Arcs ski holiday in Easter? You’re in luck. The lifts usually stay open until the end of April.

Things to do in Les Arcs

Les Arcs ski resort is family-friendly, with plenty of activities away from the piste. Whether you want to get out in the fresh mountain air or fancy a day indoors, there’s so much to do for skiers and non-skiers alike.
Outdoor Activities in Les Arcs
If non-skiers are joining your Les Arcs ski holiday, grab them a non-skiing lift pass. With a vast array of mountain restaurants and snowshoe hiking trails, they’ll have lots to explore while you’re carving up the pistes. Dog sledging at Arc 1950 is a must-do activity for all the family, or if you fancy a bit of off-piste action, book a snow touring guide.
Spa and Wellness in Les Arcs
For a bit of relaxation, head to Mille8 at Arc 1800 to unwind in their blissfully-warm hammams and sauna. Or escape to Deep Nature Spa at Arc 1950 to soak in mineral-rich pools with epic views of the Alps. If your muscles are sore from some heavy-duty piste action, call upon MaasageMe, a mobile massage service; they’ll knead out the knots and get you back on the slopes in no time.
Indoor Activities in Les Arcs
Weather forecast looking lousy? There’s still lots to do under cover in Les Arcs ski resort. Grab some popcorn and watch a film at the cinema, keep the body moving with a game of badminton at the sports centre, or update your ski wardrobe with a bit of retail therapy – there’s a sports shop around every corner.
