Welcome to Les Crosets Ski Resort

Fancy some rustic Swiss charm on the fringes of one of France’s biggest ski areas? On one side of the mountain there’s the big purpose-built resort of Avoriaz. On the other, Swiss side, you have the villages of Champéry, Champoussin, Morgins and Les Crosets. They’re all part of the 12 resorts that make up the mega Portes du Soleil ski area, which boasts 650km of slopes of every type imaginable as well as 11 freestyle parks.
Les Crosets itself is charm personified with the added bonus of hotels situated at the foot of the ski slopes. This authentic mountain village has a warm and friendly atmosphere with a handful of family-run restaurants, chalets, and hotels to choose from. The resort boasts seamless access to fantastic ski lift facilities, snow laden pistes and some of the best skiing and snowboarding in the Swiss - French Alps.

Best time to ski in Les Crosets

With skiing up to 2,350m, parts of the Portes du Soleil are among the most snow-sure destinations in the Swiss and French Alps, and thankfully Les Crosets (at 1,670m) is one of them.
The season runs from mid December to mid April. The peak periods are traditionally the run up to Christmas and over New Year, and then again in February.
Les Crosets is much quieter than other Portes du Soleil resorts, so the crowds are not such an issue. March onwards is the time for skiing in the sun and reclining on the terraces.

Things to do in Les Crosets

There are lots of other things to do in the region if you’re more into a winter mountain experience than a skiing holiday.
Choose your snow transport from e-fat bike to horse-drawn sleigh. Les Crosets is also a good spot just to go for some mind-clearing walks in nature with snow shoes that prevent you from sinking into the snow. Need some adrenaline? There’s paragliding and speed flying on the French side.
If it’s relaxation you’re after there are some hot springs at the bottom of the mountain in Val d’Illiez. When you’re done, après is a cheesy raclette at a family restaurant with a local Rhone valley wine.
