Welcome to Meribel-Mottaret Ski Resort

Méribel is the resort for serious skiers and boarders who want access to the world’s largest playground of pistes but also want the classic charms of a typically French ski village. The question is which one to go for? There are actually five villages that make up Méribel, connected by buses and lifts, ranging from Méribel Les Allues at 1,100m to Méribel Mottaret at 1,750m.
The main appeal of the resort is its location – it sits plum in the middle of the epic Les Trois Vallées area, which boasts up to 600km of pistes and eight snowparks for all abilities across the resorts of Courchevel and Val Thorens. The slopes are high too, meaning good cover all season.

Best time to ski in Meribel-Mottaret

December offers festive buzz; January cold temperatures, quiet slopes and good snow. February sees Méribel at its busiest but that can be fun too and with access to such a large ski area, overcrowding is never such an issue.
March sees numbers drop off again which can make it an attractive time to go. And towards April, as the season draws to an end you can have an amazing time. The snow quality may not be its best, but you can expect long days in the sun and loads of events and outdoor music off the pistes.

Things to do in Meribel-Mottaret

There’s a ton of other ways to enjoy your mountain break in Méribel. For the active there’s ski touring, snowshoeing, skidooing, dog sledding and tandem paragliding. For the committed there’s cross-country skiing – a totally different experience and a surprisingly tough workout.
With cinemas, spas, good bars and restaurants Méribel is also the place to unwind at the end of a hard day on the slopes – or not.
When it comes to après, venues like Le Rond Point, La Folie Douce, Jack’s and numerous pubs and bars will keep you partying into the night.
