Welcome to Morillon Ski Resort

If your idea of ski heaven is a quiet and traditional resort away from the madness, yet less than an hour from Geneva airport, a resort that’s ideal for beginners yet gives access to over 200km of linked pistes, then say hello to Morillon.
The charming French resort is only 55km from Geneva airport yet it’s part of the Grand Massif ski area, boasting a total of 351 pistes.
Morillon itself is a sweet little resort situated at 1,100m, 400m above the charming old village with its 16th century church and wooden chalets. It goes without saying that this is not the place for hedonists – but you’ll find a beer, table football and live music at the Bon Coin.

Best time to ski in Morillon

The Grand Massif ski season runs from mid-December through to mid April.
Morillon is a little lower than some resorts but they have good artificial snow covering. The best snow is usually to be found in January and February but there are always great days to be had in December and April too.
On the plus side, Morillon recently built a new chairlift which is faster, reducing the ascent time from 14 minutes to nine.

Things to do in Morillon

Think of Morillon as an active winter holiday and there are a world of opportunities and fun things to do. You can go hiking on snow-shoes and admire the views of Mont Blanc, take a tandem paragliding flight or relax with some yoga classes at a spa. Excursions by fat bike, dogsled, pony trekking and even ski joering (where you ski behind a horse) can be arranged.
If you really want to go large, book a helicopter ride around Mont Blanc or have a go at winter canyoning! Alternatively try descending the slopes on a ‘Yooner’, a single seat snowcart just 20cm off the snow. It’s a ton of fun – and not just for children.
